Golden Band Resources is a Saskatchewan-based publicly listed company on the TSX Venture Exchange (GBN: TSX-V). Golden Band is advancing toward starting gold production in the 4th quarter of 2010 while continuing its grassroots to advanced-stage exploration programs. Since 1994, Golden Band has assembled a land package, through staking and strategic acquisitions, of more than 750 km2 including 12 known gold deposits, four former producing mines and a fully licensed gold mill. The Company is aggressively pursuing its near-term goal for the development of both high-grade open pit and underground mines at the Bingo mine, development of a high-grade open pit mine at EP and development of its high-grade underground mine at Komis. Processing will take place through its 100% owned Jolu mill with initial throughout at 400 tpd, and will expand that throughput to 700 tpd in 2011. A positive expanded Preliminary Economic Assessment (scoping study) was received for this project on February 26, 2008 (filed on SEDAR on April 10, 2008), and Golden Band received Provincial Environmental Assessment approval in May 2009, allowing for its 2010 production start. Longer-term objectives include production from the Company’s other deposits and the continuation of its highly successful exploration and acquisition strategy, and sustaining a long-term production life using its owned gold deposits. |
