Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist at our Roy Lloyd or EP/Komis sites, you will work in a dynamic atmosphere where environment and safety are essential for success. The key functions and responsibilities of the position include:
- geological mapping and sampling during mine development and resource definition
- monitoring diamond drilling, diamond drill core logging and sampling
- maintaining and updating the geological and production databases
The ideal candidate will possess:
- a bachelor’s degree in geology or geological science
- one to three years related experience
- good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and geological software
- excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- strong organization and time management skills
- valid Saskatchewan Drivers Licence
This position will provide the successful candidate with
- experience and knowledge in underground mining and development
- experience and knowledge in open pit mining and development
- experience and knowledge in diamond drilling layout and procedures
- the opportunity to work towards APEGS certification
- the opportunity to work towards First Aid and Mine Rescue certification
This is a full-time position located in northern Saskatchewan operating on a rotational schedule of two weeks in and two weeks out.
