Operations Manager
This newly created position will report to the Vice President Operations and will initially play a key role in overseeing the company’s pre-production construction activities of the La Ronge Gold Project. As the company advances the project through to the production stage, this position will evolve into the Operations Manager role with overall responsibility for site management. The key functions and responsibilities of the position include:
- Management of construction activities including safety and environmental performance, equipment procurement and installation, and contractor supervision.
- Provide technical and management expertise in the start-up of a 400tpd gold processing mill, open pit and underground mining operations, and administration.
- Recruitment of a construction and operations team including contractors, consultants and employees.
- Provide leadership in developing the operations as a long term profitable business unit.
To succeed in this challenging position, you will require:
- A minimum 15 years experience in the resource industry with previous experience at senior management level.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to coordinate mining, processing and administration activities.
- Sound business acumen with knowledge of financial and accounting practices.
- Professional Engineer designation with a mining or related engineering discipline.
This is a full time position initially based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, then operating on a roster basis at the Jolu site in northern Saskatchewan.
