GOLDEN BAND RESOURCES INC. has been actively exploring in the La Ronge Gold Belt region of northern Saskatchewan since 1993 and has been a publicly listed company since 1987. The Company has assembled a large land package of 870 km2. The project area hosts 13 known gold deposits, including five former producing gold mines (three of which still have deposit status), along with numerous other exploration targets where gold occurrences have been located in the project area to date. Three of the gold deposits are part of the La Ronge South Gold Venture, a 50% JV with Masuparia Gold Corporation.
Golden Band was a commercial gold producer from April 2011 to December 2013. In February 2014, the Company suspended all mining and milling operations at its Roy Lloyd underground mine, Golden Heart surface mine and the Jolu mill, and placed its operations into care and maintenance mode for an indefinite period of time. During this suspension period, the Company will be evaluating all of its options, with a goal to return its mining operations to profitability.
During 2015, Golden Band plans to undertake drill programs throughout the La Ronge Gold Project area with the objective to expand the existing gold mineral resources that have been identified on the project to date.
Golden Band Resources is listed in Canada on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol GBN.
